Yes — one or two shampoo washes remove it completely from most hair types. On very light blonde or bleached hair, some vivid colours may leave a faint tint that fades within 2–3 washes. On dark brown and black hair (most Indian hair), it washes out fully the first time. The chalk sits on the surface — it doesn't penetrate the hair.

Wet chalk can transfer to clothing, pillowcases, and furniture — let the hair dry completely before touching anything, and avoid wearing white tops on chalk days. Once fully dry and set (optionally with hairspray), transfer is minimal but possible. Any stains on clothes wash out in a normal laundry cycle. Dark clothing hides any transfer.
